2015: The Crisis’s Early Phase
- There were 21,855 deaths, 8,642 injuries, and 6,581 accidents.
- 24 people are injured, and 60 people die in an average of 18 road accidents every day. In addition, 1.31 injuries and 3.32 deaths occurred per accident.
2016: A Promising Decline
- There were 15914 deaths (27% reduced), 6055 injuries (30% reduced), and 4312 accidents (34% reduced).
- The road accident report shows a significant improvement in fatal road accidents, injury, and death from last year. 17 people were injured, and 44 people died during an average of 12 road accidents every day. Additionally, 1.40 injuries and 3.69 deaths occurred, which are a slight increase as per accident.
2017: Drastic Rise in Injuries and Accidents

2020: The Year of COVID-19 Pandemic-Influenced Decline
- 8,600 deaths (35% decrease), 6,686 injuries (15% decrease), and 4,891 accidents (11% decrease) occurred in 2020.

2024 (Up to June): Early Signs of Drastic Rise in Injuries
- 3,625 deaths, 9,927 injuries, and 3,324 accidents = Yearly average of 7,250 deaths (8% decrease), 19,854 injuries (91% decrease), and 6,648 accidents (6% decrease)
- Although this is a yearly average statistic, 19,854 injuries in 2024 is a concern as it may be the highest since 2015, before that, the 1st position was held by 2017 with 16,193 injuries, and the 2nd position went to 2018 with 15,466 injuries.
